Times They Are A Changin'

Hey guys!
I'm sorry I haven't posted in such a long time but things got really crazy for awhile and they are finally starting to slow down enough that I can tell you all about it.

So first off, Ross and I aren't living or going to school in Ames anymore. We already knew that we would be returning down home when school got out in May and continuing our education at the Community College there. The day we left home to return to Ames from Spring Break Ross got the idea in his head that we would just withdraw and leave Ames that next week. I thought about it for awhile because I wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do, but decided it was right because none of the classes I was taking had anything to do with what I wanted to switch my major to.

We went about the whole process of withdrawing and then the strenuous and tedious task of packing. We packed everyday for an entire week and spent the last night we were there cleaning and spending some quality time with our friends. It was such a bittersweet evening though. We were both happy to be moving home but yet we were going to miss everyone up in Ames.

Long story short we moved home and are now living at both my parent's house and his parent's house. We usually spend 2 nights at one place and then 2 nights at the other place and so on. It just gives both families a little break in there so not one family is having to fix supper for us all the time or anything like that. Ross is back to working at Sonic and as of right now I don't have a job yet. However I will be taking my CNA tests within the next month or two so hopefully I will pass and can start work at a nursing home. Once we start having a steady income we will look for a new car because Luke, Ross' car, is not doing so hot at the moment. We don't have any plans to get a place of our own yet because that just wouldn't be responsible for us to do at this point in time.

Ross has already been accepted into the Computer Software Development Program which he will start in the Fall. I will be taking a couple math and science classes this fall and will hopefully start the nursing program this winter. I know it's the complete opposite of Event Management but my heart just wasn't in Events anymore. I've always had the thought of going to nursing school pop into my head but I never really thought much of it or decided to act upon it. Well I'm tired of wasting my time and especially my money so I decided what the heck, I'm doing it! I really would like to be an RN in the labor and delivery wing of a hospital. Delivering babies and caring for them and the mother would be so much fun and I think it would be one of the most rewarding jobs anyone could ever have.

Since we've been back both Ross and myself have been in such better moods. Ross is actually hungry all the time and will eat like a normal person instead of eating one meal a day. He is also happier and not depressed all the time. Him being depressed was really putting strain on me and the relationship. Relationship wise I couldn't ask for anything better. We are doing the best I think we have ever done. We don't really argue that much and when we do need to get something off our chest we actually sit and talk about it instead of yelling and turning it into more then it needs to be.

Anyways, that's what's been happening in my neck of the woods, and once again I'm sorry that I haven't been keeping up with this as much as I would have liked. Now that we are home and settled in I will definitely be writing to you all a lot more.

xoxo
